2026 Roseville Area Precinct Caucuses
A guide to political party caucuses happening Feb. 3
Precinct caucuses will be held on Feb. 3 in Minnesota. This is an opportunity for political parties to gather together in precinct-level groups to provide input on issues that matter to constituents, discuss candidates, and develop positions that are incorporated into a party's platform. Volunteers are chosen to lead future meetings and delegates are chosen for future party conventions too. Delegates to a party's endorsing convention get to help decide which candidates get the party's endorsement.
You have the right to take time off work to be at a precinct caucus or political party convention (if you’re a delegate or alternate). You must give your employer ten days’ written notice, according to the Minnesota Secretary of State.
Eligible voters, including 17-year-olds who will be 18 by the November General Election, can participate in the precinct caucus where they live.
