Happy Tuesday and welcome to the first day of a new school year for most students in Roseville Area Schools. (Kindergarteners start on Wednesday!) We're doing something a little different this week, due to Labor Day and the start of a new school year. This edition of Local Matters is focused on school news.
Even if you aren't a parent or don't have school-age children, public education impacts the whole community. School-age residents matter just as much as the grown-ups. That's why we dedicate a whole section of this publication to public schools. And in Roseville, the school district includes educational programming for all ages, from birth to the elder years. There are many good reasons to pay attention to what's happening regardless of your life stage.
