What to expect at the March 18, 2025 Roseville Area School Board meeting
The Roseville Area School Board will be meeting this week on Tuesday, March 18. Below is a summary of the major topics planned for discussion:
Community Input
6:00 p.m.
If you want to provide any feedback to the school board, come to the community input session at 6:00 pm. You must sign up by 3:00 p.m. the day of the meeting by filling out an online sign-up form or contact the superintendent's office in person, by email, or by phone: 651-628-6452.
Regular School Board Meeting

The board will be discussing and voting on whether to approve a bid from Commercial Roofing to replace the roof at Roseville Area High School. The roof will be replaced this summer. District administration is recommending that the board award the $1.6 million contract to Commercial Roofing, the single responsible bidder since the bid opened on Feb. 27.
The board will also be voting on whether to approve the submission of a grant application to the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation to help fund the replacement of the Parkview Center School’s playground. The replacement would include an inclusive playground. The grant application, co-written by the school’s PTSA and district staff, would fund a piece of playground equipment costing $24,998.
The board will be reviewing Policy 500—Acceleration and Retention. “The purpose of this policy is to provide guidance to staff, parents/guardians, and students when considering student acceleration or retention,” according to the policy.
Other items on the agenda include payment of bills, personnel resignations, appointments and reductions, gifts to schools, the monthly financial report, and reviewing a draft of the School Board meeting calendar. The meeting also includes individual board member reports and a superintendent’s report.
Work Session
7:00 p.m.
During the work session, the board will hear an overview of budgeting and staffing timelines from Kenyatta McCarty, executive director of human resources, and Shari Thompson, executive director of business services.
How to Watch the School Board Meeting
School Board meetings and work sessions are open to the public unless a closed session is part of the agenda. Meetings are held in the Fairview Room at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center (1910 County Road B West in Roseville). Meetings are usually held on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month, except July.
