Info Booth Ladies

The Info Booth Ladies is a podcast hosted by three local women who work together in a Minnesota State Fair info booth. Kristen Donaldson (Roseville), Margie McCarron (Roseville) and Kathy Riewe (Falcon Heights) launched this podcast in 2021, all about the Great Minnesota Get Together.
Their podcast spans four seasons so far, interviewing interesting people who work behind the scenes to make the magic of the fair happen. For instance, this year they interviewed Jenny Warner from the U of M Bee Lab and she shared what it feels like to wear a "bee beard." There's an episode with Phil Klint, the Vegetable & Potato Superintendent at the Agriculture Horticulture building. There are several people featured on the podcast from Roseville and surrounding areas too, as in the 2022 episode with ticket taker Karl Stenborg.
This is a great podcast to listen to as you prepare for this year's Minnesota State Fair!

Alzheimer's Speaks

Roseville resident Lori LeBey is the host of the Alzheimer's Speaks podcast, which is all about dementia, Alzheimer's, and caregiving. The podcast was launched in 2011 as a program of the Alzheimer's Speaks organization, which is a Minnesota-based advocacy group dedicated to providing education and support for those dealing with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. LeBey has been recognized by Oprah Winfrey, Maria Shriver, and AARP MN, among others. She is also a member of the Roseville Alzheimer's & Dementia Community Action Team.
On the podcast, LeBey interviews authors, healthcare providers, researchers, caregivers, and other guests all about how to better care for people living with Alzheimer's and dementia. For example, the July 11 episode, Assisting Black Families Navigate Uncertainties and Fears Associated with Dementia, is a conversation with Donna Salaam, from the Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging. The July 3 episode, The Heart Remembers, features Mary Underwood, an author, social worker, and founder of Empowermentia. This is a conversational podcast full of helpful, compassionate information.

Movin' Right Along: A Muppet Movie Podcast

Roseville resident Anthony Strand and his Texan co-host Ryan Roe watch Muppet movies two minutes at a time and then talk about those two minutes for each hour-long episode! Did you know there was so much to say about Muppet movies? This delightful podcast is full of obscure trivia and entertaining commentary.
For example, in the episode Is Muppet Treasure Island Better Than Taxi Driver?, Strand and Roe do a deep dive into the credits and all the different people and roles that made the movie happen. In The Raddest Thing Kermit Does, they analyze Kermit's tattoo and whether or not that puppet has always had the embroidered tattoo and what other Muppets have tattoos in other movies. And that's not the raddest thing they think Kermit does in that movie either. You'll have to listen to find out what that's referring to!

Voices of Roseville
Two episodes were released in this Voices of Roseville podcast by Roseville resident Amanda Becker. The podcast is part of Northern Voices, a documentary video magazine by a group of Midwest filmmakers.
Becker has taken a hiatus from podcasting to work on her Master's Degree, but these two episodes are worth a listen!

The Public Works Nerds

The Public Works Nerds podcast is hosted by Marcus Culver. Though not a Roseville resident, Culver worked for the City of Roseville for ten years, most recently as the Roseville Public Works Director. He now serves as the City Engineer at Brooklyn Park. Public Works Nerds podcast is a show for public works professionals. The podcast features "seasoned public works professionals and industry vendors to discover best practices and new technologies that will help municipal and county public works professionals perform better."
