Roseville community creativity at the Minnesota State Fair

The Roseville Reader put out a call for information for Roseville residents who participated in creative contests at the Minnesota State Fair, and the community responded! Dozens of people from Roseville participated in Fine Arts, Creative Activities, and Agriculture/Horticulture contests this year.

Entries: 16 items in the Bee, Honey, and Apiary Products division, including liquid honey, granulated (creamed) honey, extracting frame (honey comb), Honey Gift Basket, natural beeswax block, hot honey, exhibit of molded beeswax art forms, and photography.

Ink on paper drawing called Bdote Mni Sota by Stefanie Kiihn. Captures the history of the twin city area of the early 1800s. The Dakota and Ojibwe trails from the time are overset by the grid of today's freeways. The sod house from Gibbs Farm features in one of the medallions.
