Roseville Police make arrest in assault and kidnapping incident
Suspect is being held on suspicion of multiple felony offenses
Late on September 25, 2026 the Roseville Police Department arrested a 41-year-old Isanti man in connection with the kidnapping and assault of a woman.
The incident occurred on September 23 near East Snelling Service Drive and County Road C. in the late afternoon in a busy area of Roseville. A woman was approached by an unknown, masked male armed with a firearm. The victim was held captive for several hours and was eventually released on the east side of St. Paul. She was treated at a local hospital, according to the RPD.
The suspect is being held at the Ramsey County Law Enforcement Center on suspicion of multiple felony offenses. After the case is presented to the Ramsey County Attorney's Office, the RPD will provide additional information in what the RPD is calling an "extremely complex investigation."
Roseville worked closely with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office, the Department of Homeland Security, and other law enforcement agencies on the investigation.
