Roseville Police seek help in kidnapping and assault investigation

The Roseville Police Department is requesting the public's assistance in a kidnapping and assault investigation for an incident that occurred on September 23. This alert was shared on social media, the police department's website, and via email with The Roseville Reader.

At approximately 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, an adult woman reported leaving a business near the intersection of County Road C and East Snelling Service Drive when she was approached by an unknown, masked male armed with a firearm. The victim was held captive for several hours and was eventually released on the east side of St. Paul. She was treated at a local hospital.
Detectives are asking anyone who was in the area of County Road C and East Snelling Service Drive between 3:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, and witnessed anything unusual or suspicious to contact police.
Residents, businesses, and motorists in the area are also asked to review any available surveillance, doorbell, or dash-camera video from that timeframe for suspicious activity.

Roseville Police are working with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and other law enforcement partners as part of the ongoing investigation.

Additional patrol officers have also been assigned to the area to increase police presence and provide reassurance to the community.
