2026-2027 and 2027-2028 Draft School Year Calendars
Drafts of the school year calendars for 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 will be reviewed, but not voted on or approved at this meeting. This includes which days in these school years will be designated for school breaks and teacher workshop days.
Action Items
The below items will be voted on by the school board.
2026-2027 Budget Parameters and Timeline
Shari Thompson, director of business services, will review the budget parameters and development timeline. These perameters have been developed to "maximize learning and focus resources on equity and quality education for all students." The budget planning takes per-pupil state funding into account in addition to funding from voter-approved operating referendums and the capital projects levy for safety and technology.
Reports
The meeting will close with a board work session report, individual board member reports, and a superintendent's report.
Closed Session
The board will close this part of the meeting to the public to discuss labor negotiations with Education Minnesota-Roseville. This is a union of over 600 educators in Roseville Area Schools. The school board also held closed sessions to discuss labor negotiations with this union on Oct. 28 and Nov. 25, 2025.
