The Roseville Area School Board is meeting this week on Wednesday, November 12 for a work study session and regular school board meeting.

Work Study Session

K-6 Mathematics Program Evaluation Report

Jake Von De Linde, executive director of teaching and learning, and staff will present the K-6 mathematics program evaluation report. No further detail is provided in the meeting materials.

Review Draft School Board Handbook

The board will review a draft of the school board member handbook.

Finalize School Board Self-Evaluation

Led by school board chair Todd Anderson, the board members will finalize their annual self-evaluation.

Minnesota State High School League Foundation Applications

Roseville Area High School is applying for a grant through the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) Foundation. Specifically, submitting "Form A and Form B" applications.

"Form A funds are used to encourage students who qualify for educational benefits to participate in athletic and fine arts programs in each school community.

Form B funds are used to assist schools with costs of leadership initiatives, health and safety, and transportation that reduce barriers to participation."

Educational benefits are financial support for low income students to participate in free or reduced cost activities. Action Items


Canvass of Election Results

The board is required to adopt the resolution of the canvass of votes from the November 12 election. The canvass includes precinct-specific data on how many votes were cast for each school board candidate and levy question. View the data here.

The capital projects levy for technology passed and three candidates were elected to the school board. Mannix Clark (incumbent), Michelle Morse-Wendt, and Geida Cleveland will begin their terms on the school board in January.

How to Watch the School Board Meeting

School Board meetings are open to the public unless a closed session is part of the agenda. Meetings are held in the Fairview Room at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center (1910 County Road B West in Roseville). Meetings are usually held on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month, except July.

You can watch live on the district's Channel 18, streamed live online, or on the Roseville Area Schools YouTube Channel. A recording of the meeting will be uploaded within 7 days to the board meeting archives.

The next regular school board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 25.
