What's happening in Roseville in September?
Autumn sure came barreling in this week, didn't it? September is here, and with it ample opportunities to pull out the flannel, get cozy, and enjoy fall activities. There's a lot going on this month in the Roseville area, both indoor and outdoor events, activities for families and adults-only events too—entertainment, education, and fall festivals. The summer months don't get to own all the fun!

BIPOC Improv Jam

Showtime Studio & Coffee
"The BIPOC Improv Jam is a welcoming space for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color to connect, create, and shine on stage. Whether you’re an experienced improviser or brand-new to the art form, this jam celebrates your voice and perspective through spontaneous comedy—now with live musical underscoring.
Held on the first Saturday of every month, the jam is guided by comedian Jamil Jackson and supported by the warm, experienced team at Good Camel Comedy Theater. Non-BIPOC audience members are encouraged to attend as enthusiastic supporters from the seats after warm ups."
Spiders in the Park with Resilient Roseville

"Join naturalist Meghan Cassidy as she spins tales of Minnesota's eight-legged wonders! This presentation woll cover fascinating natural history, and insider tips for spotting and identifying spiders commonly found in Minnesota. Once the presentation wraps up, we'll take a guided walk around Villa Park where we'll search for spiders and learn about their behaviors and habitat. All ages are welcome to join the fun—but don't forget your sunscreen and bug spray!"

"It's Mozart's musical myth of humanity in peril! It's 1950s doo-wop and an epic Greek adventure! It's Mixed Precipitation's 17th annual summer opera extravaganza!
All performances are offered for a suggested donation ($5 – $45). Recommended for all ages.
"ALL ARE WELCOME and no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Children under 12 are welcome to attend for free."

Statewide Star Party
Bell Museum (Falcon Heights)

"Across the state, people will be looking up at the sky this weekend and learning about auroras during the Bell Museum’s Statewide Star Party. Find an event at sites across the state, or join us at the Bell on Friday night for our own Star Party. Outside, we’ll have our telescopes set up to observe our favorite deep space objects (weather permitting). Inside, you can learn about the science behind auroras and make art inspired by them. We’ll also have short, free planetarium shows on a first-come, first-served basis!"
Saint Rose Block Party

"Bring an appetite! There will be three food trucks: BD Sammies, El Rancherito, and a pizza truck. Drinks will be available for purchase and, best of all, free desserts. The band "Necessary Diversion" will be there to provide music not only for listening but also some outdoor dancing, plus kids' games will be set up for the younger crowd.
"We hope you come out and join us for the Block Party! It is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a parish community and to welcome others from the neighborhood to enjoy time together with us and see what we're all about. Everyone is welcome to attend."
