Keys Cafe to host FOX & Friends show to hear from local voters
Share your views with a national television audience
Keys Cafe & Bakery in Roseville was chosen by the FOX & Friends national talk show for the location of a "Breakfast with Friends" segment on Oct. 28, with host Steve Doocy, to connect with local voters.
The live broadcast will involve discussion of the upcoming midterm elections, the issues shaping Minnesota’s political landscape, and other news of the day. People who come to Keys during the show will have an opportunity to share their views on national television.
"We are excited to give our community the opportunity to appear on national news and share their perspectives," said Francesca Collyard, a Keys Cafe employee and part of the third generation of the family that owns the local chain.
FOX & Friends approached Keys Cafe with the opportunity and they accepted. Keys Cafe & Bakery in Roseville put out an invitation on Facebook for locals to participate in the show.
"Help us fill the restaurant with energetic local guests who are comfortable appearing on camera and sharing their perspectives by 4:45 a.m." the Oct. 23 invitation read.

"We wanted to be in a true swing-state community where voters hold a range of political views. Keys is a locally owned business with strong ties to the area and the space to welcome a crowd of local voters. This is the 3rd stop on our Swing State Diner tour this week. We were in Ohio & Michigan before this stop and are heading to Texas & Georgia after," said AJ Hall, senior director of editorial production for FOX & Friends.
Host Steve Doocy will walk around the café and may approach anyone who's there to get their thoughts. There is no prep and questions are asked and responded to live. The hope is to get a variety of perspectives from people across the political spectrum. Political candidates from different parties are also invited, according to Hall.
"Our host Steve is boots on the ground to get the true 'pulse of the people' . . . There’s no substitute for being on the ground—seeing the story, feeling the atmosphere, and hearing directly from the people impacted. Listening to voters' concerns firsthand understanding the issues that matter most in their daily lives is really only possible with this type of face-to-face engagement," Hall said over email.

The kitchen will be open for guests to order breakfast and Keys will throw in free coffee.
Keys is opening early to accommodate the live show from 4:45 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and anyone is welcome to show up bright and early to join in. FOX & Friends airs on the FOX News Channel.
"We are thrilled to host them," said Collyard.
Keys Cafe & Bakery is located at 1682 Lexington Ave N, Roseville.
