Nominate your favorite local gems

We are thrilled to announce the first annual Roseville Reader Local Gem Awards! This is a "readers' choice" contest, with the express goal of celebrating and spotlighting what makes Roseville a wonderful place to live, work, and visit.

Here's how it works:

Round 1: Nominations

Nominate the local small businesses, places, and people that have been a bright spot for you in the last 12 months. Who are the gems of the community that you want to celebrate? Nominations are open until May 22.

There are five sections:

• Local eats
• Local businesses
• Local organizations
• Local hangouts
• Local people

Nominee eligibility guidelines:

• Located in Roseville, MN
• Small Businesses, Minnesota-based franchises, locally-owned, etc. (No national chains)
• The same entity can be nominated for up to 3 categories.
• You can nominate your own business

This is our first time doing this, so we're keeping the contest as simple as possible. We may add more categories next year.

Round 2: Voting

A virtual ballot with the top five nominees for each category will be available beginning June 1. We'll need your help in spreading the news to the rest of the community. Anyone can vote, you don't need to be a Roseville resident! Make sure you're signed up for The Roseville Reader to get the link to vote:

Winners Announced

The Roseville Reader 2026 Local Gem Award winners will be announced in the newsletter and our website by June 20 in time for Rosefest! Winners will get bragging rights, a graphic to display online, and a paper certificate to hang up proudly in their space.
