Keys Cafe & Bakery has built a lasting reputation for scratch-made American classics, fresh daily bakery items, and warm, memorable service. What began as founder Barbara Hunn’s kitchen “stage” has grown into a multi-generational, family-owned group of restaurants across the Twin Cities and Hudson, Wisconsin. Natural Resources Volunteer Event

"Join Roseville Parks staff and other volunteers in preserving the mature oak trees that give Acorn Park its name! Volunteers can expect to use wheelbarrows and hand tools to move and spread mulch beneath the oaks around the park building and playground area. Mulching mature trees helps retain soil moisture, keeps tree roots cooler in summer and warmer in winter, and helps protect their root systems from foot and mower traffic. Meet in the east parking lot at Acorn Park. Don’t forget your gloves and water bottle!

Her visual art portfolio includes abstract and realistic acrylic paintings, drawings, murals, and digital illustrations; and written publications span progressive social issue areas including foreign aid, climate change, food security, ocean plastics, air quality, and energy access. Ali will share with attendees her process for creating art and how she uses stories and the commitment to conservation to bring her art to life."

Being Mortal: Advance Care Planning & End of Life Choices

"What is a good death? These three in-person presentations and discussions will address this question in a variety of ways and explore options for care at the end-of-life. Topics will include advance care planning, palliative care, hospice, voluntarily stopping eating and drinking (VSED), and medical aid in dying (MAiD). Each session will last about 1 hour 30 minutes. FREE."
