What's happening with Roseville road construction?
A 2026 road construction overview
Welcome to construction season! There are already several road and pathway projects underway and more to come around Roseville, Minnesota this year.
The roads that go through Roseville are either City-owned, Ramsey County-owned, or State-owned. Some projects are a collaboration between multiple levels of government.
Here are some of the major projects planned for this year:
Snelling/Highway 51
Construction on Snelling Ave. between Highway 36 in Roseville and Grey Fox Road in Arden Hills will occur April 27 to late August. Work is expected to be completed before the Minnesota State Fair begins. There will be lane closures and temporary closures of side streets. The project will also involve a new pedestrian and bicycle trail section between Lydia Ave. and Snelling Ave. N. and revised signal systems at a few intersections.
County Rd C
A major construction project on County Rd C will convert the road from four lanes to three this summer between Lexington Avenue and Little Canada Road. The traffic signals will also be replaced at Rice St. and Lexington Ave. This is a Ramsey County project.

Lexington Avenue Pathway
In May, an approximately 650 foot long, 8-foot wide, concrete pathway will be constructed along Lexington Ave between County Road B and Sherren Street. This work will include the relocation of utilities, installation of a retaining wall, ADA improvements, and associated stormwater utility work. The costs will be evenly shared between Ramsey County and the City of Roseville, with no cost to affected homeowners. The majority of the project is expected to be completed by May 17. Learn more.
