RAHS Drama Presents: The Crucible and John Proctor is the Villain
Lloyd C Nielsen Performing Arts Center
The Crucible
March 28 & 29, April 3&5
“Widely considered a masterpiece, this timeless classic challenges American ideas of power, intolerance, and justice. In the Puritan community of Salem, Massachusetts, a servant girl accuses a farmer’s wife of witchcraft. One accusation spirals into many, uncovering a web of bigotry and deceit that changes their lives forever.
Presented in rotating repertory with John Proctor is the Villain.”
John Proctor Is the Villain
March 29 & 30, April 4 & 6
“At a high school in a one-stoplight town in Georgia, an English class is studying The Crucible but the students are more preoccupied with navigating young love and a few school scandals. As the students delve into the American classic, they begin to question the play’s perspective and the validity of naming John Proctor the show’s hero. With deep wells of passion and biting humor, this comedy captures a generation mid-transformation, running on pop music, optimism, and fury, discovering that their future is not bound by the past and that they have the power to change it all.
Presented in rotating repertory with The Crucible.”

By blending traditional techniques with contemporary practices, she creates large-scale conceptual forms. Her work explores the human body and manifestations of trauma, as well as concepts of resilience, energy, and growth. A meditative and grounding aspect to her art practice is the specialty willow that she grows and harvests as her primary material. She exhibits regionally and nationally and her work can be found in collections throughout the US.”
